We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Lyon, France, to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.

Job Summary:

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT solutions. You will leverage tools like Jira and Confluence to manage projects and documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Fluency in French is essential for effective communication in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Create detailed user stories, process flows, and functional specifications using Jira and Confluence.
  • Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Validate solutions through testing and user acceptance to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Maintain and update project documentation in Confluence, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with French-speaking stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Support project management activities, including tracking progress and resolving blockers in Jira.

Requirements

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience using Jira for project tracking and user story management.
  • Hands-on experience with Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
  • Experience working in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Jira for managing requirements, workflows, and project tracking.
  • Expertise in Confluence for creating and maintaining documentation, including process flows and requirements.
  • Familiarity with business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK, BPMN, or UML).
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile practices.
  • Experience with tools like Microsoft Office, Visio, or similar for process modeling is a plus.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in French (written and spoken) is mandatory for effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is highly desirable for collaboration with international teams.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving challenges.

Location Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with on-site presence in Lyon, France (specific days on-site to be determined).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA).
  • Experience with other project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, or Miro).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, or Tableau).
  • Knowledge of industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology.
