Demand Planning Manager

In this position you will…

Drive timely research of forecasts, actuals and historical sales data to predict future product consumption, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory levels, and implement strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency while minimising costs.


You will be responsible for…

  • Forecasting Demand: Analysing historical sales and subscriber data, market trends and seasonality, and consumer behaviour to create accurate demand and purchase forecasts for devices across different clients, countries and regions
  • Data Analysis: Interpreting complex data sets, identifying patterns and insights that can inform and improve demand planning strategies.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Working closely with sales, marketing, product development, and finance teams to align demand and cash forecasts with business objectives
  • Inventory Management: Ensuring that the optimised volume of product is available to meet customer demand without overstocking and stock targets are accomplished
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking the accuracy of demand forecasts and adjusting models where necessary to improve forecasting methods and outcomes.
  • Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and market trends to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving demand planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cross-Country Coordination: Managing the complexities of demand planning across multiple countries, taking into account local market conditions, cultural differences, and regulatory environments.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain or market that could affect supply, inform relevant stakeholders and develop contingency plans to mitigate.

You will require the following qualifications and skills
  • Background in the telecommunications and/or insurance sector – desirable
  • Strong communication skills (including English) and ability to work independently - essential
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting/supply chain role – essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields - desirable
  • Experience of working with different geographical markets – desirable
  • Armed with coordination and cooperation spirit as a team member - essential
