ECAD Consultant

• ECAD & EDM Operations: operate, maintain and administer an ECAD landscape (EDM, DS-CR, CR-8000) and support development teams with their ECAD data management.
  
• Support & Analysis: monitor applications and logs, analyse complex malfunctions and handle incidents and service requests.
  
• Security & Stability: implement security patches and workarounds, ensuring a stable environment through rigorous testing after technical changes.
  
• Documentation & Knowledge: create technical documentation and help articles using MkDocs and Markdown, and manage Polarion defects.
  
• Technical Evolution & Development: identify optimisation potential and develop custom tools or system integrations using C#, C++ or scripting languages to enhance operational efficiency.
  
• Engineering Collaboration: work closely with developers and interface partners on sustainable improvements and complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Entry level: degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a comparable field, or qualification as a state-certified electrical engineer.
  
• Senior level: experience with ECAD tool Zuken CR8000 or other electronic design tools, with several years of experience in electronic development, ECAD support or schematic and layout design processes.
  
• Senior level: knowledge of R&D development processes, particularly in hardware and electronics development.
  
• Mid level: experience in the PLM domain, preferably with Teamcenter and EDA Client.
  
• Mid level: experience in monitoring, log analysis and structured incident management. Solid knowledge of Windows, Linux and SQL (Oracle/MS SQL). Familiarity with PuTTY, WinSCP and ideally AWS.
  
• Lead level: strong skills in programming languages such as C#, C++, PowerShell, Visual Basic, AutoIT and CMD for extending and automating ECAD applications.
  
• Lead level: excellent English skills — German is a plus.
  
• Lead level: structured and service-oriented delivery with excellent communication skills.
