In the role of IT Operations & Infrastructure Specialist you will integrate the IT organization of Unilever FIMA reporting to the Head of Information Technology. Your key responsibilities will be,
• Network Infrastructure: Maintain passive and active network components (switches, routers, firewalls), oversee wireless infrastructure (WLCs and APs), and manage land line and mobile telephony, in close coordination with third-party service providers.
• Asset Lifecycle: Keep track of locally managed IT equipment, particularly network and RF assets, and contribute to their regular update and evolution, ensuring alignment with security and vulnerability management processes.
• Industrial Connectivity: Contribute to the digitalization of the sourcing unit by acting as pivot between factory operations and IT, translating industrial needs into actionable IT projects that meet operational requirements while ensuring compliance with Unilever IT standards and architecture.
• Cybersecurity: Act as a Cyber Security Champion, implementing and monitoring security policies, conducting regular assessments and risk mitigation strategies.
• User Support and Training: Provide hands-on support to locally managed services and, for the remaining services, direct users to appropriate support channels; champion the adoption of digital tools (e.g. Office 365), actively promoting their use by making content and delivering it via training campaigns.
• Collaboration: Actively engage with local team members, third-party vendors and central Unilever IT teams to coordinate local demand and ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of requirements.
• SAP admin and team Support: Promote SAP changes to production using SAP transport mechanism and manage SAP user base; act as a backup for other IT operations roles in the team, ensuring continuity of service during absences or peak periods.
Requirements
Education
• Background in Information Technology, ideally with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Network and Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Additional training in industrial cybersecurity or critical infrastructure is highly valued.
• Certification in Cisco CCNA or higher (e.g. CCNP), or other recognised credentials in LAN/WAN network, switch, router, and firewall management is highly valued.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in configuring and maintaining LAN/WAN networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers (WLCs and APs), particularly with Cisco and Check Point technologies.
• Experience with VLANs, NAT, ACLs, DMZs, and network segmentation.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint management tools.
• Experience with data circuits, fixed and mobile telephony systems, including VoIP infrastructure.
• Understanding of network monitoring tools and strong analytical skills to interpret their output and drive performance improvements and fault resolution.
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware ESXi) is welcomed.
• Understanding of RDBMS (e.g. MS SQL), hybrid infrastructure models, and data integration is a plus.
• Experience with ITIL-based service management and change control processes is welcomed.
• Experience managing SAP user accounts and supporting transport activities between SAP environments is welcomed.
