Job description

The client is looking for an experienced professional to manage the full lifecycle of software and technology licensing contracts. The Licensing Contract Manager will be responsible for ensuring contractual compliance, optimizing license usage, and aligning license management with the strategic needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and assess internal licensing needs across departments;
Conduct supplier research and market analysis to identify the most suitable and cost-effective solutions;
Prepare and manage RFPs/RFQs (Request for Proposal/Quotation);
Oversee licensing contract negotiations, execution, and administration;
Monitor compliance with contractual and technical obligations;
Manage license audits with vendors and third-party entities;
Control renewal timelines and contract terminations;
Optimize the software license portfolio, minimizing waste and ensuring scalability;
Provide budget forecasts and support strategic planning for licensing expenditures.

Requirements

Proven experience in managing software licensing contracts (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.);
Solid knowledge of procurement processes and contract negotiation;
Ability to read and interpret legal and technical contract terms;
Experience with ITAM/SAM tools
Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes 
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities;
Fluency in [Portuguese and English – as applicable].

Nice to Have:
Relevant certifications (SAM Certification)
Experience working in public sector or regulated environments;
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
Knowledge of cloud licensing models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
