Messaging & Data Platform Engineer (Mid-Level)

Job description

We are looking for a Mid-Level Messaging & Data Platform Engineer to support distributed messaging and data processing infrastructures in enterprise environments.

The professional will work with technologies such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, and Apache Spark, supporting operational activities, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation initiatives across critical platforms.

Responsibilities

Administer and support RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka environments
Monitor and support Apache Spark jobs and operational workflows
Troubleshoot distributed systems and messaging platforms
Support messaging infrastructure optimization and reliability initiatives
Contribute to automation and DataOps practices
Work with Docker and Kubernetes environments
Support integration between messaging platforms and data ingestion systems
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Monitor infrastructure availability and platform performance

Requirements

Experience with RabbitMQ and/or Apache Kafka
Knowledge of Apache Spark operational environments
Experience troubleshooting distributed systems
Understanding of AMQP, queues, topics, partitions, and offsets
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Python, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible knowledge

Nice to Have

Experience with Debezium or Apache NiFi
Monitoring and observability knowledge
Relevant technical certifications
