At the Portugal Tech Hub, client manages a large portfolio of Data Analytics applications, running in a Cloud mesh framework. Microsoft Fabric and Power BI are the reporting and analytics layer of this landscape, consuming data from Snowflake and from 75+ connected SAP systems, covering several business areas.

We currently have a growing portfolio of Fabric and Power BI solutions that require maintenance as well as development of new business necessities, therefore Client is looking for consulting support to achieve this goal.

To achieve this, client expects the following competences to be available at the service provider:

At least 3 years of experience working as a Power BI Developer, with strong experience in data modeling (star schema), DAX and Power Query (M);
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines, Notebooks);
Experience with the Power BI Service: workspaces, deployment pipelines, data gateways, incremental refresh and row-level security;
Strong SQL skills and experience consuming data from cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure SQL, Synapse);
Performance optimization of semantic models and reports;
Nice to have - technical knowledge in some of the following SAP modules: FI, SD, MM;
Capability to discuss business requirements, define KPIs and translate them to the technical solution;
Consulting experience with a value generation mindset;
Working in multiple projects;
Critical thinking;
Problem solving;
Organization skills (e.g. using Office productivity suite)

Client gives preference to providers that also demonstrate competences in:

Snowflake and DBT know-how
Microsoft certifications (e.g. PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst, DP-600 Fabric Analytics Engineer)
Version control and CI/CD for Power BI / Fabric (Git integration, PBIP)
Agile framework
Working with distributed teams and customers across multiple countries and time zones

Consultants to be assigned to the service by the provider should have advanced communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, especially in a customer facing role. It is mandatory for consultants to be business-fluent in English language (speaking and writing).
