Job description

We are looking for an OpenShift Platform Engineer / SRE for a hybrid project, 2 days in the office, in Lisbon.

Mission

You will join the team responsible for the operation, evolution and support of the OpenShift Kubernetes platform, ensuring the stability, availability and automation of environments that support both critical and non-critical applications.

We are looking for a professional who thrives under pressure, with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents effectively. Good communication skills are essential to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Adaptability, a continuous improvement mindset and a strong drive for autonomy are key to succeeding in this role.

Main Responsibilities

Day-to-day administration and operation of OpenShift (OCP) clusters.
Platform monitoring and troubleshooting.
Incident management and resolution of operational issues.
Management of platform upgrades, patches and lifecycle.
Management of quotas, limits and capacity planning.
Support for deployments and CI/CD integration.
Operation of GitOps / ArgoCD pipelines.
Management of RBAC, SCCs and AD/LDAP integration.
Networking and storage troubleshooting in Kubernetes environments.
Support for Kafka, WSO2 and Camunda platforms running on OpenShift.
Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation.
Logging and tracking of activities in ITSM tooling.

Requirements

Solid experience in OpenShift / Kubernetes (minimum 2 years).
Enterprise Linux administration.
Knowledge of Kubernetes networking.
Experience with Operators (OLM), Helm, ArgoCD / GitOps, Prometheus / Grafana and Elasticsearch / logging.
Knowledge of CI/CD for pipeline development.
Experience in troubleshooting and incident response.
Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift security.
Automation and scripting proficiency (Ansible, Terraform or equivalent).

Nice to Have

Experience in banking or other mission-critical environments.
Knowledge of Kafka, WSO2 and/or Camunda platforms.
Red Hat OpenShift certifications.
Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible / scripting).
