Job description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance platform solutions, leveraging Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices.

This role requires strong expertise in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and Manage Platforms: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance platform solutions using Kubernetes and related tools (e.g., Istio, Argo CD, Crossplane, API Gateways, Kibana).
Implement and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software development and deployment, ensuring robust automation and integration practices.
Ensure Operational Integrity: Manage and maintain the stability of production and development systems, focusing on automation and reliability.
Develop Automation Scripts: Write bash and Python scripts, along with other automation tools, to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development, operations, and project management teams to ensure platform stability and project success.
Utilize Project Tools: Use Jira and Confluence to track delivery status and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Resolve Issues and Respond to Incidents: Lead troubleshooting efforts for platform-related issues, driving efficient resolutions and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
Experience in AWS resource administration.
Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Significant experience with DevOps practices and observability tools.
Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Experience in system administration, preferably in Linux environments.
Advanced proficiency in bash scripting for automation and process optimization.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.
Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps) are considered a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or DevOps Engineer certifications.
Experience with additional observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
