Job description

We're looking for a Python Developer to design and build the backend services that power our platform.
You'll work in a cross-functional team


  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs in Python
  • Model and optimise relational data
  • Write automated tests and keep the codebase covered and maintainable
  • Integrate third-party services, internal systems, and message queues
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
  • Profile and optimise performance bottlenecks in application and database layers
  • Support your services in production — debugging, logging, monitoring, incident follow-up
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Collaborate with product to refine requirements and challenge scope where it makes sense

Requirements

  • 3+ years building production applications in Python 3
  • Strong experience with at least one major framework: Django, FastAPI, or Flask
  • Solid SQL and relational database experience (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
  • REST API design and implementation
  • Automated testing with pytest (or unittest) and a test-first or test-alongside habit
  • Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, code review)
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming (asyncio) or background task processing (Celery, RQ)
  • Comfortable on Linux and the command line
  • Professional working English
