Service Manager & Architect for Firewall Service

Job description

The main role of the Service Manager & Architect will be to design, manage and optimize firewall service with a special focus on AI-driven solutions. The role is expected to understand and design firewall topologies to support business and security requirements, as well as have an operational oversight of the day-to-day issues ensuring the firewall service operates efficiently.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the availability, reliability and performance of the firewall service and coordinating with network security, and IT teams to implement firewall rules, policies and security controls.
  • Overseeing request, demand, incident, problem and change management for firewall related services and coordinating with lead architects, Service Providers, and other relevant services to ensure cohesive implementation.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external audits and security best practices including the enforcement of Zero-trust principles and segmentation strategies.
  • Collaborating with firewall vendor (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, etc.) to keep the infrastructure updated, as well as managing license renewal, support contract and vendor SLAs
  • Leading firewall-related security incidents and breach investigations, and troubleshooting firewall issues
  • Develop overall processes documentation strategy and assure they are fully documented and updated.
Should have advanced communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and good negotiation skills.

Requirements

Mid-Level - Understanding of the current firewall technologies supported by the main vendors like Cisco,
Juniper, Fortinet, Checkpoint, etc.Familiarity with Next-Generation Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, proxy services and
segmentation strategies
  • Mid-Level - Knowledge of network security principles, including Zero Trust Architecture
  • Junior Level - Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
  • Mid-Level - Previous experience as a Service Manager for IT in security related topics
  • Mid-Level - General knowledge about Firewall management and operation services in IT and OT environments
  • Mid-Level - Experience in designing and optimizing network infrastructures and firewall environments
  • Mid-Level - ITIL framework knowledge
  • Mid-Level - Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, and Service Availability for security related services
  • Mid-Level - Ability to coordinate migrations, upgrades, patches and lifecycle management in complex IT environments for security services
  • Mid-Level - Understand complex connectivity and firewall solutions in the LAN network segment
  • Business-fluent in English (C1)
