We are looking for a AI Solution Expert / AI Developer (Azure AI & RAG) to join our team in a hybrid role based in Lisbon, with the number of office days to be defined. In this role, you will design, implement, and enable AI capabilities that support business use cases, translating business requirements and data sources into secure, scalable, reusable, and governed AI solutions. You will work with a strong focus on LLM-based applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, knowledge ingestion, document intelligence, AI evaluation, grounding, traceability, and Azure AI services, while collaborating with product and development teams to support the integration of AI capabilities into business applications and workflows, ensuring production readiness, responsible AI, and governance.

Requirements

4+ years of experience as an AI Solution Expert, AI Developer, AI Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar role.
4+ years of experience designing and implementing AI solutions for business use cases.
4+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, indexing, RAG patterns, semantic retrieval, prompt engineering, document intelligence, AI evaluation, APIs, and cloud-native AI development.
4+ years of experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search.
Experience building modular AI components, reusable knowledge ingestion pipelines, orchestration layers, and MCP/API-based integration patterns.
Understanding of enterprise architecture, secure software development, scalability, observability, cost control, responsible AI, data protection, and AI governance.
Ability to support product and development teams on AI feasibility, technical options, trade-offs, reuse opportunities, model behaviour, cost implications, responsible AI practices, and production readiness.

3+ years of knowledge of machine learning concepts, AI evaluation, and model lifecycle awareness.
3+ years of experience with knowledge graphs, semantic models, and domain reasoning.
3+ years of experience with Azure AI Search, vector search, and semantic retrieval.
3+ years of experience with Cosmos DB and cloud data architecture for AI solutions.
3+ years of experience with AI cost estimation, model selection, and architecture decision matrices.
3+ years of experience with MCP/API integration patterns for AI services and reusable capabilities.

Experience working with agile product teams, developers, engineering stakeholders, business representatives, and enterprise architecture communities.
Experience using GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools.
Business-fluent English (spoken and written).
