Cloud Engineer

• Real multi-cloud: you'll work with Azure and AWS at the same time, not just one. Few roles give you this dual exposure — your CV comes out of this much stronger than someone who only knows one cloud.
  
• Infrastructure as Code, not manual clicking: you'll lead implementation and management via Terraform. Versioned, testable, reproducible architecture.
  
• Real hybrid environment: on-premises + cloud. Learn the bridge that most cloud-native engineers never had to master.
  
• You're not just "the incident-responder": you design networking and security from the ground up (VNet/VPC, VPN, firewalls, NSGs, IAM, RBAC) — this is architecture work, not just operations.
  
• Responsibility that matters: you're accountable for backup, disaster recovery, and high availability in critical environments — the kind of work that builds trust and visibility within the organization.
  
• FinOps in practice: cost management (right-sizing, autoscaling, reserved instances) — one of the best-paid and least common skills in today's cloud market.
  
• You work with developers, not in isolation: you collaborate directly with development teams on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or equivalent).
  
• Kubernetes valued: if you have or want to build experience with AKS/EKS, this is the natural next step in your trajectory.
  

Requirements

• Administer and evolve cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS) via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  
• Design and manage cloud networking and security (VNet/VPC, VPN, firewalls, NSGs, IAM, RBAC)
  
• Monitor and resolve incidents (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CloudWatch)
  
• Implement backup, DR, and high availability
  
• Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD
  
• Continuously optimize cloud costs
  
• Document architectures and procedures
  
  

• Hands-on experience in cloud administration (Azure, AWS) — networking, security, storage, compute, monitoring
  
• Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
  
• Troubleshooting ability in complex environments (network, applications, performance)
  
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD
  
• Valued: hybrid multi-cloud experience, containers/Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), critical high-availability environments
