The “Collaboration” Value Center within IT Digital Foundation (IT DF) at Siemens is looking for a skilled and motivated IT Operations Professional with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 (M365) services.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless, secure, and efficient delivery of M365 collaboration services to Client global business units. You will work closely with Service Owners, Service Managers, Service Architects, 2nd- and 3rd-level support as well as external providers like
Microsoft to maintain and improve the operational stability and compliance of Purview Information Protection, particularly the sensitivity labels, which are being used in Office apps (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and M365 services (e.g., SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams).
Main Objective are:
• Support the operation of the Siemens M365 tenant, with a focus on Purview Information Protection and sensitivity labels
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (incl. Microsoft) to manage and resolve 3rd level incident tickets and Design Change Requests (DCRs)
• Perform thorough analysis of complex operational issues and pain points, and leverage logs and monitoring information to get insights on correlations, root cause and impact
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational runbooks.
• Continuously improve the quality and performance of M365 operations
• Collaborate with service teams and automation tooling experts to drive efforts that aim to enhance service operation quality through automation monitoring like proactive alerts, anomaly detection and resolution
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least five years of experience and in-depth knowledge in IT infrastructure, operations, and cloud architecture with a focus on M365 services
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Office apps
• Understanding of Microsoft Purview Information Protection is beneficial
• Familiarity with compliance, information protection, and governance concepts in M365
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments and with external service providers
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Graph API) for M365 services.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• International experience is a plus with a willingness to work with colleagues in various time zone
