IT Support Specialist – Hardware Operation, Support, Maintenance and Configuration

• Provide specialized support for customer networks using GPON, XGS-PON, NG-PON2, and Ethernet technologies.
  
• Monitor network performance, analyze metrics, identify potential improvements, and implement optimizations.
  
• Assist customers in the implementation, configuration, and day-to-day operation of their access networks.
  
• Conduct detailed investigations of technical incidents using advanced diagnostic tools, log analysis, and access to complex systems.
  
• Collaborate closely with software development and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement fixes.
  
• Document cases, resolutions, and recommendations in ticketing and knowledge management systems.
  
• Ensure high service quality and adherence to operational procedures.
  

Requirements

• Professional experience in network operations, support, or NOC environments, with strong focus on optical access technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, NG-PON2 essential).
  
• Deep knowledge of telecommunications networks, PON architectures, and Ethernet protocols.
  
• Solid understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6), DHCP, SNMP, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  
• Experience with network monitoring tools, performance analysis, and advanced diagnostics (logs, packet capture, etc.).
  
• Ability to work autonomously on complex issues while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented approach.
  
• Full professional proficiency in Portuguese; fluent English is mandatory.
  
  

• Knowledge of additional protocols and technologies in telecom access networks.
  
• Scripting/programming experience (e.g., Shell Script).
  
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud platforms, or related tools.
  
• Basic knowledge of French.
  
• Relevant certifications in networking or optical technologies.
