Java + Angular Developer

• The team acts with maximum independence with full focus on dynamic tour planning;
  
• You take an agile, iterative, and incremental approach: this includes carrying out proof of concepts (POC) for new features and technologies and evaluating the potential benefits;
  
• You work in an interdisciplinary manner with the specialist departments and customers;
  
• As part of DevOps, you will be closely involved in all stages of development from design to operation;
  
• You realize product ideas based on state-of-the-art technologies;
  
• This includes the implementation of microservices in the cloud and the use of artificial intelligence;
  
• Together with our customers and other international teams, you will create real value, drive digitalization, and modernize the GLS IT landscape.
  
  

Requirements

• Computer science degree or equivalent;
  
• Several years of experience as software engineer, ideally in the field of logistics;
  
• Several years of experience with Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate;
  
• Several years of experience with Angular, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript;
  
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL;
  
• Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda), Docker and Kubernetes;
  
• Excellent knowledge of debugging practices and techniques;
  
• Experience working with FIGMA is a Plus;
  
• Good English skills;
  
• Good time management skills, and Team Player;
  
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and impact on company’ success;
  
• German skills are a plus
