The purpose of this service is to provide consulting support to the Service Owner during the design and evolution of  an end-to-end network monitoring and observability service.
The service focuses on conceptual support, analytical assistance, and investigation activities that contribute to service design discussions and the evaluation of monitoring approaches across network services.
The consultant will support analysis of monitoring data and signals, help identify gaps or blind spots in visibility, and provide structured inputs to inform design decisions.

The service operates in a monitoring and observability context that includes network path observability based on synthetic or active measurements, observability and data platforms used to aggregate and correlate monitoring signals, and infrastructure or network monitoring platforms.

The consultant is expected to have experience and exposure to these concepts and tool categories and to support collaboration with network service verticals by helping structure inputs and consolidate findings related to monitoring and observability.

Requirements

  • Mid-Level - Network monitoring and observability concepts (end-to-end visibility, monitoring vs observability)
  • Mid-Level - Network path observability using synthetic or active measurements (agent-based testing concepts)
  • Mid-Level - Monitoring KPIs, baselining, and trend analysis
  • Mid-Level - Analysis of monitoring data and signals to identify visibility gaps and blind spots.
  • Mid-Level - Analytical support to service design and decision-making activities
  • Junior Level - Exposure to network path observability tools (e.g. ThousandEyes or similar)
  • Junior Level - Exposure to observability or data platforms for signal aggregation (e.g. Splunk or similar)
  • Junior Level - Exposure to infrastructure or network monitoring platforms (device, path, or service monitoring)
  • Mid-Level - Structured analytical thinking and problem decomposition
  • Mid-Level - Documentation and synthesis of technical discussions into clear inputs
  • Mid-Level - Collaboration with network service teams in a supporting or advisory capacity
  • Junior Level - Conceptual knowledge of Agile and ITIL practices in service-oriented environments
  • Mid-Level - Professional communication skills in english (written and verbal)
