We are looking for an OpenShift Platform Architect / Technical Lead for a hybrid project, 2 days in the office, in Lisbon.

You will act as the technical reference for the OpenShift Kubernetes platform, supporting the operational team in resolving complex incidents, defining best practices and driving the evolution of the platform architecture, ensuring high levels of resilience, scalability, security and business continuity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as technical SME for the OpenShift platform.
  • Define Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture standards and best practices.
  • Support advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of critical incidents.
  • Support the operational team on complex performance, security and availability topics.
  • Define strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity and observability.
  • Drive the evolution of the OpenShift platform architecture.
  • Define best practices for security hardening, RBAC, SCC, network policies and secrets management.
  • Define and govern GitOps / CI/CD frameworks.
  • Support the adoption of standards for Kubernetes workloads.
  • Interact with infrastructure, security and architecture teams.
  • Support upgrades and lifecycle management.
  • Perform technical review of deployments and critical workloads.
  • Provide technical mentoring to the SRE/OpenShift team.

Profile
We are looking for a technically strong leader with solid analytical capability, a genuine drive for standards and governance, and the ability to mentor and elevate those around them. Strong communication skills are essential to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in enterprise OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Experience in designing and evolving Kubernetes platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes networking, service mesh (Istio), storage, observability and security.
  • Experience with GitOps / ArgoCD.
  • Knowledge of HA/DR, business continuity and platform resilience.
  • Experience in advanced troubleshooting.
  • Experience in critical or regulated environments.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in banking or other mission-critical environments.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, WSO2 and/or Camunda platforms.
  • Red Hat OpenShift certifications.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible / scripting).
