Every time someone taps a card at a POS terminal, a chain of certified, homologated processes makes it work. You'd be the person who ensures that chain holds — testing electronic payment solutions against the standards set by the world's largest payment schemes.

This is a specialist role. The knowledge you'll build here — in payment certification, SPI testing, and terminal homologation — is rare, highly valued,
and not easily found elsewhere.

What you'll do

  • Test electronic payment solutions across POS, EPOS, and xPOS terminals — functional and end-to-end
  • Execute international payment scheme tests (SPIs) to global standards   (Visa, Mastercard, and others)
  • Design test plans, test sets, and analyse functional documentation to   build comprehensive coverage
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution in JIRA and Confluence
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and international payment   brands throughout the certification process
  • Support and maintain test tooling and physical test environments


Requirements

What you bring:

  • Degree or Master's in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related   scientific field
  • Sharp analytical mind: logical reasoning, attention to detail, ability to synthesize complex documentation
  • Experience installing or configuring IT or communications equipment (you're comfortable with hardware, not just software)
  • Clear communicator in both Portuguese and English — written and spoken
  • Organised and self-driven
Bonus points for:

  • JIRA and Confluence experience
  • Prior exposure to the payments industry
  • Manual testing experience — test execution, defect reporting
