As a RAN Optimization Expert specializing in Ericsson technologies, you will lead optimization efforts for live 4G and 5G networks, ensuring superior performance, coverage, and capacity. Representing our client on-site, you will collaborate directly with teams and client stakeholders in central São Paulo, driving customer-facing initiatives to resolve network issues and propose enhancements. This role demands hands-on availability at client offices, strong Ericsson tool proficiency, and a customer-oriented approach to deliver measurable improvements in network KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end RAN optimization for Ericsson-based 4G/5G networks, including parameter tuning, neighbor planning, and interference management.
  • Analyze drive test data, KPIs (e.g., throughput, latency, drop rates), and use tools like Ericsson ENM (Element Network Manager), OSS-RC, and MO (Managed Objects) for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Conduct customer-facing reviews and workshops with telecom operators, presenting optimization reports, recommendations, and ROI impacts.
  • Collaborate on-site with engineering teams and client RF teams to integrate solutions and troubleshoot live network issues.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve coverage, capacity, and user experience in urban São Paulo environments.
  • Document processes, create optimization guidelines, and support handover to operations teams.
  • Monitor post-optimization performance and iterate on improvements to meet SLAs.
  • Ensure compliance with Ericsson best practices and Brazilian regulatory standards



Requirements

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in RAN optimization, with at least 3 years focused on Ericsson platforms (4G LTE and 5G NR).
  • Proven track record in customer-facing roles, including direct interaction with telecom operators (e.g., Vivo, TIM, Claro) for optimization projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson tools such as ENM, OSS, RBS (Radio Base Station) configuration, and optimization scripts.
  • Experience in high-density urban deployments, including small cells, massive MIMO, and beamforming optimization.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in RAN optimization techniques (e.g., antenna tilting, power control, handover optimization).
  • Proficiency in drive testing tools (e.g., TEMS, Nemo) and post-processing analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards for 4G/5G, including NR features like URLLC and eMBB.
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, SQL for data analysis) and automation in optimization workflows.
  • Experience with multi-vendor environments is a plus.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written) – mandatory for on-site client interactions in Brazil.
  • Professional proficiency in English – required for technical documentation, Ericsson tools, and international collaboration.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills to build trust with clients.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, on-site environments.
  • Ability to travel within central São Paulo as needed for client and client visits.


Availability & Logistics:

  • Full availability for on-site work at client offices and client sites in central São Paulo (no remote option).
  • Immediate availability for pre-start onboarding in December 2025.
  • Valid work authorization in Brazil (e.g., CPF, visa if applicable).


Nice-to-Have:

  • Ericsson certifications (e.g., Ericsson Certified RAN Optimization Specialist or 5G NR Optimization).
  • Experience with AI/ML-driven optimization tools or predictive analytics in RAN.
  • Knowledge of OSS/BSS integration and network slicing for 5G.
  • Previous on-site representation for consulting firms in telecom projects.
