Senior Security Engineer

• Lead Cloud Cost Reduction Initiatives: Drive and execute high-impact projects aimed at reducing expenses by optimizing storage volumes (e.g., EBS categorization), analyzing and implementing new resource types (such as Azure Premium SSD V2), and identifying opportunities for vertical or horizontal scaling.
  
• Manage and Optimize Data Services: Oversee the configuration and continuous optimization of critical Cassandra and Elasticsearch clusters, including data migrations, downscaling, and configuration adjustments to improve performance and cost efficiency.
  
• Design and Implement Multi-Cloud Infrastructure: Develop, test, and deploy multi-cloud infrastructure solutions using Terraform, supporting core applications and services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  
• Enhance Operational Efficiency: Improve existing infrastructure through automation of key processes, such as creating new Kubernetes Virtual Node Groups (VNGs) and configuring network routing to reduce data transfer costs.
  
• Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and safely implement production changes. This role requires the ability to handle complex tasks independently while taking on a technical leadership role.
  
• Software Development and Automation: Apply software engineering best practices to build scripts and tools that automate cloud operations and support cost-management initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or SRE, with a strong focus on cloud operations and infrastructure.
  
• Multi-Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  
• Data Services Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience managing large-scale Cassandra and Elasticsearch clusters in production.
  
• Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Strong command of Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  
• Containerization & Orchestration: Solid experience with Docker and managing/optimizing Kubernetes clusters.
  
• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  

• Proven track record in cost-optimization initiatives within large-scale cloud environments (e.g., resource right-sizing, reserved instances, storage and networking optimization).
  
• Continuous-learning mindset and adaptability to evolving project scopes.
