Staff Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer to join our fast-moving data team and help build robust, scalable, and high-quality data platforms in the cloud.



Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 9+ years of relevant professional experience for the role
  • An expert developer using SQL and SQL-like query languages
  • Python expert developer with experience organizing Python-based projects
  • Vast experience with the Azure Databricks skillset (mandatory)
  • Experience building data pipelines
  • Vast experience with ETL and ELT (to ingest and transform raw data into golden datasets)
  • Experience with Cloud Azure and its services
  • Strong understanding of different data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience defining and crafting automated unit and integration testing frameworks for data projects
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Business Analysis
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools – GitLab
  • Experience with visualization tools
  • Experience with CI/CD automation using GitLab
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring junior members
  • Work on integration of data platforms into observability tools
  • Excellent collaborator, capable of tailoring your communication to different audiences and ensuring effective communication between developers, partners, and leadership
